With a bachelor of commerce specializing in hotel and food management, Mike began his career managing luxury first-class hotels. Over the next 20 years, he built on that experience, extending his expertise to include managing a range of retirement residences, as well as a variety of other innovative properties. Mike has garnered a solid reputation as a respected and ethical operator, earning top ratings from the Ontario Retirement Communities Association.
Now, as Vice-President of Riverstone Retirement Communities, Mike is excited about the opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives and offer the same quality of care that his own grandmother once enjoyed. He’s proud to be managing a company that aims to be at the forefront of retirement living in the Ottawa area. It began with Oakpark, then expanded to Bridlewood Trails, Maplewood, Carlingwood and Stirling Park. But it won’t stop there; drawings and plans for future developments are on the horizon. Riverstone, like Mike, is just getting started.
Lynda came to Bridlewood Trails in June 2013 with over 20 years experience in the retirement industry – including 12+ years as a general manager at three Ottawa residences. Lynda’s passion for working with seniors started during her high school years when she volunteered in the activity department of a nearby retirement residence. From there she worked in the dietary, administration and marketing departments. Equipped with a Bachelor of Arts degree and Public Relations diploma she became a General Manager in 2001. Lynda also served as president of the Eastern Ontario region of the Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA) between 2006-2010.
Approachable, customer service oriented and a great leader to her team, she is committed to making the retirement residence experience a new and satisfying adventure for both the residents and their families. Lynda strives to instill a sense of pride and accomplishment in the staff who cater to their needs.
Bridlewood Trails, the second of four luxury Retirement homes, built by Riverstone Retirement Communities, thus far, was very fortunate to attain Cindy Willins, Senior Marketing Manager, in September 2010.
Cindy's professional demeanor and naturally warm, welcoming attitude, give new and existing Residents and Families the confidence they need, when making the difficult decision to transition from their existing familial Residence, to ours, here at Bridlewood Trails.
With over 12 years of experience in the retirement home sector both as General Manager and Marketing Director, Cindy truly understands what an emotional time this move can be. It is her unique reassuring genuine counsel, which sets her apart from the rest. She especially looks forward to meeting our four legged Residents!

Tanya Cullain has been with Bridlewood Trails as a Director of Care since it's opening in 2009.
Tanya has a passion for working with the elderly and is not willing to accept a blanket diagnosis for all seniors. With an individual approach Tanya possesses a keen understanding of seniors health issues. She has the drive and determination to getting to the bottom of underlying health issues. She has worked hard at developing a network of experienced community geriatric resources which she regularly utilizes to advocate for our senior residents.
Tanya also has experience in mental health, orthopedic and cardiovascular surgery, wound care and infection control.
Bridlewood Trails is very fortunate to have Tanya as a part of their management team.
Christine had the opportunity to work with children throughout her high school years. Following
graduation she decided to take Recreation and Leisure Services and Recreation and Facilities
Management at Algonquin College, thinking her future might involve working with a young population.
Her feelings changed when she did a co-op placement at Bridlewood Trails Retirement Community, working in the activities department. While completing her volunteer hours at Bridlewood Trails she realized how much she truly enjoyed working with and caring for the residents. At this point, she knew where she wanted to be! After a successful co-op placement, she was hired as a part time Activity Assistant. In this role for four years, she worked specifically with our memory care residents, and assisted with additional programming along the way.
Her goal was always to get to know each resident personally and brighten their day however she could. She was offered the Activity Manager position in 2015 and has found great enjoyment in leading the department and creating new and engaging programs for the residents who call Bridlewood Trails home. Their happiness and satisfaction continues to be her greatest priority.
Karen Courchesne joined the Bridlewood Trails management team in 2010. She has over 25 years of administrative and accounting experience. She stays on top of the day to day administrative elements at Bridlewood Trails and keeps us all on track. Karen enjoys the rewards of welcoming new residents into their new home and sets high standards for herself and her reception team. She is a mom of two adult girls, loves competitive sports and staying active. Most recently Karen has become a brand new grandmother!

Jason started his career in 2004 with IHG (Intercontinental Hotel Group) working in maintenance/housekeeping and customer service. In 2007, Jason received a promotion to maintenance manager and worked at the Holiday Inn Select for two years. Jason decided to make a slight career change to the retirement industry and has been with Bridlewood Trails since its inception. Jason has a solid understanding of how building systems operate and how to maximize their efficiency. Jason is an integral part of the Bridlewood Trails team. He and his staff stay on top of building maintenance issues as well as specific resident requests as they arise.
Keeping our staff and residents up to speed on fire safety procedures is a serious matter and Jason has been known to pull a fire alarm or two…
